As Vehicle Cyber Security Engineer, you will define cyber security requirements and will assist product development in implementing them. These requirements originate from various theoretical and practical activities such as threat modelling/ threat analysis risk assessment and hands-on penetration testing, but also from close collaboratin with the engineers.
The main goal will be to structure and maintain the overview of security threats and requirements to ensure that the customer can make informed decisions about them. An important part of this job is also to raise security awareness by communicating security findings and requirements in an understandable way.

Your job will focus on:

  • Creating a strong cyber security culture 
  • Designing and implementing the vehicle cyber security program at several customers of Brace Automotive
  • Identifying potential security threats using threat modelling and by performing penetration tests
  • Developing cyber security concepts and requirements at system, hardware and software level
  • Validating and assisting with the implementation of cyber security concepts and requirements
  • Working together with suppliers to ensure our quality standards are met with regards to cyber security

your profile

  • At least a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technologies
  • At least 2 years of full-time cyber security experience, preferably within automotive
  • The ability to write clear and concise requirements and to communicate them to a broad audience
  • Experience/ familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 is considered as a big plus
  • CISSP, OSCP and/ or CompTIA Security+ certifications are also considered as a big plus
  • Experience in threat modelling complex solutions
  • Experience in practical penetration testing on systems ranging from embedded devices to cloud web applications
  • Good understanding of cryptographic concepts and ways to incorporate them into an existing design
  • Experience in programming using low-level languages such as C
  • Experience with scripting i.e. Bash or Python
  • You have mastered the English language fluently. (Knowledge of the Dutch and/or German language is considered as an advantage)
  • Fulltime availability
